Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye

No-Drip Mousse is clinically proven to dissolve "nit glue" and helps eliminate lice, using a combination of naturally occurring enzymes. Use with nit comb to help remove lice and their eggs (nits) without harsh chemicals and pesticides.

Facts of Lice

What are lice?

Head lice are grayish/brown and about the size of a sesame seed. They are found directly on the scalp and move quickly.

What is a Nit?

Nits are lice eggs, tiny grayish sacs the size of a pinpoint. They are attached to the hair strand with a sticky nit glue. Nits are found 1/4-1/2 inch from the scalp, and most commonly at the hot spots behind the ears, at the nape of the neck and at part lines. Once hatched, they migrate to the scalp to feed and lay their own eggs within 7-10 days.

How are Head Lice Spread?

Lice are most commonly spread through head-to-head contact. They infest children more than adults because they have more physical contact at that age. Lice can survive up to 24-36 hours off the human head on hats, pillows, towel and other personal items.

1. Pump 10-12 puffs of Lice Good-Bye natural treatment into your hands. Use more for longer hair. Have your child hold a washcloth over eyes for protection when applying. Be sure to saturate hair with the foam, working it into the scalp using a massaging motion to help loosen the sticky nit "glue." Let sit for 20-25 minutes. Do not rinse.

2. Comb through the entire head once. Then section hair into 4 quadrants. Comb through small sections of hair within each quadrant. Focus near the scalp as nits will attach 1/4-1/2 inch from top of the head. Wipe residue from comb after each pass on a wet wipe or paper towel. Continue combing until no nits are seen. Be sure to contain and dispose of dirty wet wipes or paper towels.

Tip: Wet combing is more effective to remove nits. To help comb, use Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Conditioning Spray and the Nit-Free Terminator Comb (both sold separately).

3. Rinse hair thoroughly in a steady stream of warm water, protecting eyes with a washcloth. Inspect hair and scalp under bright light with nit comb. If lice and nits are still visible, repeat the combing process.

TIP: With Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye you don't have to wait to do a follow up treatment AND you can use the Lice Good-Bye mousse after other chemical treatments have failed.

4. Repeat treatment on day 2 to ensure lice and nit removal. Do nightly head checks for 5-7 days. Make sure to focus on the hot spots; behind ears, part lines and back of neck.
